The cottage is located about 250 m from the beach, in a spot where the garden is shielded from view. There is a sun deck that serves as a pleasant dining area in the summer. The cottage features a kitchen with a dishwasher and a combined living room and TV room. There are 2 bedrooms: one with two 90-cm beds and one with a small double bed (140 cm). Bathroom with shower. The cottage is approximately 65 square meters, including a 20-square-meter sunroom with a fireplace. An air-to-air heat pump is installed in the cottage. A small footpath leads to the lovely sandy beach. There are beautiful bike and walking trails through a lovely beech forest. Horses graze in the meadows, and you can spot deer in a nearby enclosure.
Torsö is an old fishing village with about 20 year-round residents. In the summer, a gourmet food truck offering a variety of lunch dishes is parked at the harbor (mostly fish dishes).
In Mjällby, about 3.5 km away, there is a supermarket with a wide selection. There is also a pharmacy, a flower shop, and a few other small stores. In the supermarket lobby, you can buy lunch and eat there.
The town of Sölvesborg is located about 2 km to the west. It is an old, picturesque town with a good selection of various stores. Between Torsö and Sölvesborg, there is a nice golf course. There is also a restaurant there.
On the cottage’s property, there is a 20-square-meter guest cottage. It contains two bunk beds, but there is no toilet or running water there. (This is the extra “living room” listed in the cottage’s amenities. The main cottage itself sleeps 4.)
The rental cost is 8500 SEK/vecka. Electricity is metered upon arrival and at checkout. If you also wish to have access to the guest cottage, the cost is 800 SEK/vecka.. If you choose not to clean before departure, you will be charged 1000 SEK.
. A security deposit of 2000 SEK is required at least two weeks before arrival (which is non-refundable if you do not complete your stay). The remainder of the agreed-upon cost is due at least one week before arrival. The account number will be provided after personal contact.
