Welcome to the Gläß Vacation Rental


The vacation rental is located in the small, quiet village of Thielitz in the eastern corner of the Lüneburg Heath, near the Wendland region and Saxony-Anhalt.
Our beautiful vacation rental can accommodate up to four people. The bedroom features a 1.40-meter-wide bed. The second room has a bunk bed with two 80-centimeter-wide mattresses. The separate kitchen has built-in cabinets and is fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator (including a freezer), dishwasher, and dining table. A children’s high chair is also available.

The vacation rental is equipped with underfloor heating, a smart TV, high-speed internet, and a wood-burning stove (use upon request). Enjoy your stay on the patio in the natural garden and watch the bees at work. For electric vehicles, an 11 kW wallbox can be provided for an additional fee. Bicycles can be stored safely and dry in the adjacent bike storage area of the barn.

Just a few kilometers away, near Bad Bodenteich, you can experience the beautiful and famous heathland blooms in the summer. Various museums in the area invite you to experience traditional craft techniques up close. At Bad Bodenteich Castle, you’ll hear stories from eyewitnesses about life near the border with the former GDR. Looking for excursions and exciting activities with the kids? About a 20-minute drive away, you’ll find the Hankensbüttel Otter Center, home to a wide variety of animals that might not get much attention at every zoo. Heidepark Soltau is also easily accessible—about a 1.5-hour drive away—and well worth the trip.
Enjoy the famous Salzwedel Baumkuchen or visit the Diesdorf Open-Air Museum in nearby Saxony-Anhalt.
And finally, the Wendland region, with its unique Rundling villages and many beautiful towns along the Elbe River and the surrounding area, invites you to linger.

Gestern eine berufliche Übernachtung, bald ein privater Urlaub hier geplant.Der Aufenthalt bei Familie Gläß war wirklich super. Von Anfang bis Ende lief alles reibungslos. Alle meine Erwartungen wurden erfüllt oder übertroffen, hier stimmt die Preis-Leistung. Mein besonderes Highlight ist der idyllische Garten mit eigener Sitzecke für die Ferienwohnung. Außer den heimischen Vögeln gab es nichts zu hören, während der Flieder duftete und eine sanfte Brise über das Gesicht strich. Ich konnte mich lange nicht mehr so entspannen, und das während einer Dienstreise. Ich komme sehr gerne sehr bald wieder.
