Great home, poor management.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but... The home was fine, and a great location. We love Topsail and vacation here every year, but will definitely not be renting from Carolina Retreats/Topsail Realty again. The home was dirty, there were ants in the cabinets with the dishes, several lights were out throughout the house, the backyard grass was so tall it was up to my knees, and the dryer made our clothes smell like wet dog. I called about these items and it took 3 days for them to change a light bulb. Their solution for the dryer was to send someone 4 days after I called (we were only renting the house for the week). I ended up spending time cleaning the dryer vent myself so that we could use it. Don't expect them to answer the phones Called multiple times and every time I had to leave a message and hope that they would actually call me back. Overall, Topsail is awesome and the location of this home is great. I would just caution anyone renting from Carolina Retreats/Topsail Realty to not expect much in the way of cleanliness, responsiveness or overall customer service.
