This cozy little cabin located on the banks of the beautiful Colorado River is perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The cabin is a fully furnished two-story that sleeps up to 6. We have a queen-size sleeper sofa downstairs, one full and one queen upstairs and one bathroom. This is the perfect property for those who enjoy the peaceful quiet of the river and the beauty of small towns. Enjoy the view of the river from the back porch, fish for bass/perch/catfish, or launch a boat from the nearby boat ramp. 4th of July weekend in Smithville,Tx

Enjoyed our stay!!! Just being away from the city and enjoying the quiet countryside was great! The property was excellent for our family of six! Host was available to reach and answered all our questions.

Great property right on the Colorado River. Cold a/c, perfect for Texas heat and humidity. Nice deck to watch the fireflies. Quiet except for the occasional train horn, but not too bothersome. Direct TV access made my husband happy! Well stocked with kitchen things. The stairs to the sleeping quarters upstairs are a tight spiral, keep this in mind. Overall GREAT PROPERTY! Recommend some local Smithville places: Comfort Cafe, Birdsong Bar, Hope Floats, El Mexico Grill had a great breakfast, Smithville Brewing Company. Very responsive owners. (2 adults, no kids, weekend getaway)

Peaceful and fun

A nice spot to unwind and get away from the city life. This place is very clean and has everything you need to make it a special experience. We all had an awesome time and cant wait to revisit.

Nice little house!

Audrea's a great host and raced over late at night to fix a faulty smoke alarm. I'd wished we had water access, but the view was really lovely. Cute house! Very easy to get to town for food, errands.

Great Weekend Getaway

What an awesome little hidden gem! The cabin was the perfect spot for a weekend away from the city. It was clean and well-appointed both inside and out. The private access to the river was unbeatable for relaxing down by the water. Audrea was a great host and very accommodating throughout our stay. We would definitely return.

Perfect simple landing space for our “on the go”vacation

Everything is as advertised. Right on the river. Quiet. Nice deck view for morning coffee. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal with Walmart 15-20 min away for groceries.

Clean and comfortable

We enjoyed the property. It was clean and comfortable. The only complaint is that the bedroom was upstairs and it was a challenge for us to climb the spiral staircase. Otherwise it was as advertised and the bow of the river was perfect.

The best little/big place to stay!!

For us (4) adults, This was the perfect place, location, and proximity to water. We could not have been any happier than staying at this place. Neighbors were respectful and considerate of our stay. The owner promptly responded to a question that I had. If the property owner will have us again, we plan on coming back late October or early November. And hopefully many times after that! This is in our opinion of five star place.

Cute little house for getaway

This cute little A-frame house is good for a space to unplug and relax. Second floor did get warm since heat rises but they had a floor fan available and we opened the window to help regulate the temp. Being able to sit outside on the porch and enjoy the river was a big plus. We did some fishing but didn’t get anything, still want nice to relax. House has all that is needed from pots, utensils, towels and bedding.

Basic cottage on river

Very clean. Spacious living room area and bathroom. Kitchen small and basic, no dishwasher, ice maker or ice trays. Be prepared to bring your own. Spiral stairs to beds upstairs. Did not attempt to get suitcases up stairs. If anyone has mobility issues may be difficult as front steps steep and no rails. Very quite with large deck in back. Great place for morning coffee. No Wi-fi.
