Go to a B & B instead

Unfortunate “renovation” of lovely old building took all the charm and character and trashed it for artificial surfaces, ugly bland furnishings, and tiny cell-like rooms. Do hotels really get stars for having a pool table or a shiny plastic chandelier? Sad. Front desk staffed by cheerful young woman, which was the only saving grace of an empty town and depressing hotel.

Brödet inte färskt. Frukosten på lör saknade ”skyltar”. Luktade avlopp på toa. Svårt att låsa dörren. Personal vid restaurangen på fredag kväll , saknade social kompetens, sur, kort i tonen, kunde inte rekommendera någon restaurang när det var fullbokat i hotellrestaurangen. Gick ej att sitta i soffgrupperna utanför restaurangen och äta, då skulle lokalhyra på 500kr betalas. För övrigt bra, fin miljö!

Helt fantastiskt fint hotell och all konst av både Lerin och andra. Hade vi vetat det hade vi kunnat tänka oss en längre vistelse. Vi åker gärna dit igen och har redan rekommenderat andra en vistelse på Stadshotellet i Skara.
