Go to a B & B instead

Unfortunate “renovation” of lovely old building took all the charm and character and trashed it for artificial surfaces, ugly bland furnishings, and tiny cell-like rooms. Do hotels really get stars for having a pool table or a shiny plastic chandelier? Sad. Front desk staffed by cheerful young woman, which was the only saving grace of an empty town and depressing hotel.

Fick ett bedrövligt rum. Fick gÄ en lÄng korridor, sedan lÄngt ner i kÀllaren, 2 tr ned. Rummet var mycket litet och duschrummet kallt och inte renoverat. Dessutom avloppslukt. Personalen pÄ hotellet var trevlig och hotellet i övrigt fint och gemytligt. Frukosten spartansk. Saknade en hel del.

Rummen var rymliga och fina, men tyvĂ€rr drog helhetsintrycket ned eftersom hyllorna var dammiga och det kĂ€ndes som att stĂ€dningen inte var ordentligt gjord. Frukosten var dĂ€remot under all kritik. NĂ€r vi skulle ta kaffe hittade vi minst fyra smutsiga koppar, och frukten var sĂ„ torr att det kĂ€ndes som om den legat framme i flera dagar. Det blev Ă€nnu tydligare dagen efter nĂ€r exakt samma fruktskivor och brieost lĂ„g kvar – fortfarande torra och trĂ„kiga. Sammantaget var detta en av de sĂ€msta hotellfrukostarna jag nĂ„gonsin Ă€tit. Ärligt talat hade det varit bĂ€ttre om frukosten inte ingĂ„tt i priset alls. receptionspersonalen trevlig
