It’s a beautiful small studio apartment in Lugano, which is a “suburb” of Sirmione. The studio is part of a small complex with shared outside and swimming pool facilities. The neighbours are very friendly. The check-in is easy. Umberto sends you a video and it’s very clear. He is very good at answering all of the questions very quickly. It’s an ideal base for exploring Lake Garda. A couple of tips - don’t bother taking a car to the Sirmione peninsula. You can buy a bus ticket from the local newsagent at St Martino La Battaglia 43 and save yourself the expense and hassle of car parks and a slow trip. Walk to Colombare and take the shuttle bus. Also for an evening treat, go to La Fenice pasticceria and have pastries/dessert and coffee by the lake one evening. (Turn right out of the apartment, go left at the end and right along the lake shore road, you’ll find it). Note that if you rely on WiFi a lot, there is no WiFi there - it does not mention it in the description, so don’t make the blithe mistake of assuming that it will. Similarly don’t expect a separate bedroom though Vrbo tells you it is one bedroom - it is not separate from the living quarters. We worked that out from the pictures. But it’s a wonderful place to stay and we had a lovely time.
