The staff was exceptionally helpful. Special thank yous to Ivy and Henry. Very clean hotel in a very good location with easy access to MRT and busses. They have access to washing machines and dryers and brought up an iron and ironing board to our room.

In September 2025, we stayed at V Hotel Bencoolen in Singapore for 3 weeks. The hotel had friendly staff, hotel was very clean, and staff wad always present/ available at the front desk (I believe 24 hours all day). The room was very small but as expected/ also common for some Asian countries. Swimming pool and washing/ drying machines are on the 1st floor (front desk can change money for coins to be used for the machines). Next to hotel, there is a restaurant, not sure if it's part of the hotel since we didn't include breakfast with our stay but this restaurant offers a la carte menu and buffet option, the buffet changes menu on a regular basis (regular prices). Very convenient location and very safe location. The mass rapid transit (MRT)/ subway is almost next to the hotel so it was very, very, very convenient (no you can't hear the subway so this was great). Near the hotel there is an inside hawker center (a community place with several food stands/food court/food hall). There was 1 day when an investigation fire alarm rang several times, not sure what happened on the hotel but other than that day our stay at this hotel was great. We had a wonderful experience.

We expected small rooms for the price, but did not enjoy our window view out into a grey light well. Mattresses were very hard. The pool lacked natural light and was cold. Service and position are 10/10, but this is a place to sleep only.

The location is perfect. But the hotel was not well designed. The light switches are in very unhelpful places. The outlets are far from the bed. The shower floor tiles are very slippery. I enjoyed the pool but it was disruptive that there was a steady stream of people visiting the bathroom next to the pool to shower and some people laid out luggage all over the floor near the pool to use the laundry facilities. The elevators supposedly required room key to operate but the key wasn’t needed and it seemed like some people were entering hotel just to use the shower. Staff were very nice and everything was clean. But the hotel was not well designed. That said the location is excellent next to mrt station and walking distance to fort canning park and other sites.

Great location. Walkable or easy tube access to anywhere you might want to visit. Rooms a bit small but as you only sleep in them that’s not a problem. Excellent showers. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast not the best. No USB sockets in the room so bring your own adapter (British style sockets). Lots of cultural places to visit within walking distance. Very handy location for the Singapore Gran Prix🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️🏁

Great location in Singapore with metro and bus right outside. We chose to mostly walk to our sight seeing destinations as everything we wanted to do was within half hour or so. Room was small and basic but clean with good housekeeping and a great hot shower with nice quality toiletries provided. The pool was nice too for a refreshing swim. What we particularly liked was the friendly and helpful staff. The room was ready for us even though we arrived early from the airport and we were given a late check out free of charge. The staff really made an effort to make us feel welcome during our stay.

Location of this hotel is very much makes up the different of room size. MRT rail line is right next to hotel so we could go to downtown, china town, Geylang areas at ease. Community food center ( hawker stalls) are within walking distance. Staffs are exceptionally courteous, helpful. Room is small but function well. shower is fairly small for me ( 5'6 man). I cannot complain for anything since we had a firm bed, AC worked nicely. I highly recommend this hotel for a single or couple travellers.
