A lot of affordable Chinese and Indian restaurant in the area. Easy to take a bus down town, about 25 minutes. Unfortunately there were cockroaches in the bathroom . They came and sprayed the room immediately however .

Considering that other hotels of this price range are generally capsule hotels 81 hotels are probably the best hotels in Singapore. The area is slightly shady but if you compare it to SEA on avarage I would rather call it "lively". While the city center feels "autistic". Theres also an umbrella service if it rains.
