Overall good
This property and location was good overall and I just have two negatives. First, the rugs were filthy and probably should be cleaned or replaced. Otherwise the unit was relatively clean and comfortable. Second was that the first two full days of our stay there was some serious and very loud work being done in the unit next door, starting at around 9:00 am each morning. Apparently the floors were being redone. We didn’t say anything the first day but the second day we tried to bring this to the attention of the property manager and rental office because we couldn’t even hear each other talk! The staff in the rental office were rude and dismissive. I wrote a message online through the VRBO website to management and a few hours later we finally received a response that said the work next door was finished and they would likely not be back again. This felt like an inadequate response. We already were struggling on the vacation due to the red tide, so we just let it go, but that was disappointing.
