Casa Bottanica

This lovely mid-century, ranch style home sleeps six (6) and is located in Siesta Isles, one of the best residential neighborhood on Siesta Key. Siesta Isles provides a wonderful sense of community and a relaxed island lifestyle with upscale homes (no busy condominiums or “hotel houses”).

This home has an excellent location: just a 3-block walk to Siesta Key Beach, the #1 beach in the U.S. And a 10-15 minute walk (or very quick car-ride) to Siesta Village with its boutiques, ice cream parlors, restaurants, and bars - many with live music. While on the island, you can rent kayaks or bikes to get to know the area through its canals and quaint streets.

The home is lushly landscaped in the front and back of the property. With over 40 palm trees and many, many bromeliads, you can sip cocktails or have breakfast on the back porch sitting area feeling as if you’re in you’re own private botanical garden - hence the name of the property, CASA BOTTANICA.

The property is elegantly, yet comfortably furnished throughout. The home has two bedroom suites with bathrooms. The Master Suite has an en-suite bathroom, queen bed, TV, sitting area, a wall of shelved closets with doors, and a walk in closet with plenty of room for hanging clothes for two.

The Guest Suite has a queen bed, TV, a large wall closet for hanging clothes, a comfortable slipper chair, a dresser and a TV. The full size bathroom is in the guest hallway. Both bedroom suites have doors that close them off from the rest of the house.

The house also has an Office/Bonus Room with a full size Futon, a dresser and two stylish barn doors that completely close off the room so that two persons can rest privately. It also has a desk, chair, phone with speaker and printer so that you can comfortably work from home. The color printer (Canon 4520) may have a bit of ink and paper left in it, but guests are responsible for buying paper and ink cartridges.

The renovated kitchen has glass backsplash all around, modern white quartz countertops, a brand new large refrigerator, a new electric range with convection and air fryer features, a microwave, blender, and 4-slice toaster. There is a dining table with six chairs in the separate dining room, and a glass table with 4 clear chairs by the sliding door to the back patio where you can sit for breakfast, lunch or cocktails indoors while still enjoying the splendid garden.

The back outdoor deck has seating for 6 where you can alternately have breakfast, lunch or cocktails. Or just sit outside to read a book and enjoy the palm trees, orchids and bromeliads. And the front patio also has cushioned seating where you can relax and watch folks taking their morning and evening walks. It is a good way to meet residents of Siesta Key and others visiting the area.

The 2-car garage has a washer and dryer where guests can wash their wet beach towels and other laundry. The wide newly paved drive-way can also accommodate parked cars if you wish to park outside.

This is a perfect location for couples to spend the winter months, and also have a few of envious family members or friends visit from time to time and stay in the bonus room. And if you need to work a bit during your stay, or if you're writing your next novel, the Office/Bonus Room is a perfect location to do so. Siesta Key is a great place to work, play and relax.
