I liked the modern and innovative concept of this hotel, located on an innovation campus. I stayed in one of their "pods", which has everything you need with a shared bathroom around the corner. I recommend adding breakfast, which is generous and delicious. I also ate several dinners at the hotel, which were excellent, with a European bistro flair. The hotel is a block from the river front, where an amazing greenway goes all the way to the Bund. Stunning vistas. The museum next to the hotel (within a repurposed power plant) is well worth a visit.

Quirky hotel in Shamghai

Loved this hotel, it was very quirky with upstairs sleeping accommodation. The staff were very pleasant and the room was very clean. Umbrellas were available to borrow which was handy as it rained while we were there. Not too far from shops and metro.

I think one of the main reasons for you to stay here is that it has such a nice restaurant inside. The fusion cuisine offered here is excellent for the price. I’m not sure who makes the foods but they seem professionally trained. The only downside is that the restroom is shared, but there’s always space available, so it wasn’t inconvenient to use.

The property is quite a distance from central Shanghai which has its positives and negatives. It’s quiet and clean with friendly helpful staff. You can walk along the river pathway for about one hour which I did every day to the bund and central areas. If you don’t want to walk there is a metro station about fifteen minute walk from hotel that connects you to the metro system anywhere in Shanghai. It’s easy to use and has English language option on ticket machines. I would however recommend the hotel management invest in some security lockers for rooms. I was travelling on to other countries in Asia where bringing foreign currency is best method of financing your trip. I was therefore carrying around 3000USD and had to leave buried in my bag in my room each day. I would add both myself and my money checked out safely. It was shared toilets and showers which couldn’t be faulted. The showers were hot and powerful. The free washing and dryer were well appreciated. Would I stay again?… yes.

It is a very modern and stylish hotel that is very attractive for the younger people. The service and staff are amazing and help even with a language barrier. Issues are in the box rooms there is no temperature control so it gets hot and stuffy. It is in a remote location so no noise ideal walk around and station 15 minute walk to get to town.

Why not learn at least some basic English sentences & phrases when you invite foreigners? It was extremely inconvenient for me to communicate. I’m totally okay with trying to communicate in any way, but some staff were so rude and mean with constant sighs and eye rolls,… And for the signature single room, because it has no window, air was so moist and cold (heater was broken) Compared to other places, the stay not that cheaper. So, yeah, make smart choices!

距离地铁站较远，但公交车站不远，有45路等三条线路的公交巴士。离黄浦江也不远，5-10分钟步行距离，傍晚在江边散步是一大乐事，感觉很好。周围环境很安静，高大的烟囱就在隔壁，是一个艺术园区。

Unique hotel in quiet location.

Had a great time at Urside. The rooms are stylish and spacious and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept it. Breakfast is well presented and good value for money and its only a 10 min walk to the nearest metro station. There is nothing negative I can say about this hotel. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay with a bit of style !

Small place but very clean and quiet. Loved the lobby and bar area. It was a little the train station but no biggie. Rooms were very comfortable and also well kept. Same for the bathrooms as well. Overall would recommend!

Super stay at the Urside

While a little (15 mins to Metro) off the beaten track, the hotel was great, very trendy, comfortable and clean. The two breakfasts I ate there were also very very good. I highly recommend.
