We had difficulty one day with the cleaning of the room. While it was upsetting and not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel, Grace Song, assistant manager, did her best to rectify the issue. She provided luxury transportation to us the evening we flew out to get us to the airport on time. I would book this hotel again when I return to Shanghai next year. They proved to be very accommodating.

This is a large well place hotel near a subway stop and 5 minutes from the Nanjing Road shopping pedestrian mile and the People’s Park. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. We hosted a business event there and there were no problems. I would definitely stay here again.

This property is at BEST 3.5 stars, the fact they claim to be a 5-star hotel is a lie! Service was basic, disappointed with their lack of customer service orientation. I.e. I had to ask the bellboy for support; a real 5-star hotel will never needed to be asked. Entire property including public spaces, elevators, rooms and fitness facilities were just old, outdated, and definitely NOT a 5-star hotel. I could’ve been at the Langham Shanghai for less than I paid to stay here, what a travesty!

The property is conveniently place at people’s SQ you can ride line 1 all the way from either Shanghai Airport for a few USD. The Bund and tourist centre is right here. The hotel is large and safe with many staff. Really nice
