Room is clean staff is friendly and helpful. The only bad point is there is no place to hang your clothes when yiu shower. They have the retractable string for hanging at the corner but u have to be very careful when u shower in case u wet your clean clothes. Its near to the shower head. Otherwise, all good for this hotel. Location is also near the MTR and Shanghai train station. Very convenient place to stay.

We had a really nice stay at the Holiday Inn situated at Jing’an. The room was v generously sized and there was a little couch or sitting area. The hotel very kindly prepared a birthday cake and gifted a bottle of wine for my mum’s birthday. The laundry facilities were also excellent and super convenient. The location of the hotel was ideal for us as we were travelling to/from Shanghai train station and the station was in easy walking distance (even with luggage)! The one improvement that the hotel could work on is better training for the front desk staff - All other staff was super kind and helpful (including the security guards) but the front desk staff were quite dismissive when we were checking in or when we had questions on directions etc.

The hotel has been renovated and the rooms are new and clean. 8 minutes walk to Shanghai Railway Station and Metro line 3 & 4. There is a complex across from the hotel with several restaurants and a 7Eleven on the way to the train station. Though it is not located near any attractions, you can easily Didi (Chinese Uber) to these areas under USD$5. What stood out was its customer service. The hotel staffs were friendly, helpful, and courteous. In particular, a huge shout-out to Operation Supervisor Leo Wang, who went out of her way to assist us in an online purchase. We needed to purchase a pharmaceutical product from Beijing and as foreign visitors, it was impossible to do so without a local number. She assisted us by using her own phone to make the purchase on our behalf, an act that goes above and beyond what is required of her job.

Nice experience

The location is very good for being near the Shanghai railway station. The breakfast has numerous choices. However, the gym has only some running machines, a bike, and a step climber. The overall experience was very good.
