I had a great four days at the Blossom Shanghai. The location is good and the room I had. Queen Garden room, was excellent. I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. The staff are friendly and helpful. My only issue would be that there is not a bar on the premises, it has been closed for over a year and there can be quite a wait for the elevators. Those things said, it is still a great hotel and I would happily stay here again the next time I’m in Shanghai.

This hotel wasn’t on my original list for Shanghai, as I’m a member of several international hotel programs. However, I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did! I’m a female solo traveller and stayed for 7 nights. Check-in was smooth and easy. I booked a room only rate, but the hotel offered a breakfast discount if I wanted to add it later. I didn’t take it since I’m not a morning person. My room was spacious and very comfortable. The first round of minibar items was free, the shower was large, and the toilet was fully automatic, it opened, flushed, and closed by itself! As a light sleeper, I really appreciated how quiet the room was. Housekeeping was excellent; staff always greeted me warmly and offered fresh towels whenever they saw me. The complimentary laundry room was a huge plus, with free detergent provided. Tip for travellers: it can get busy on weekends, so try doing laundry during the day or on weekdays. Location is excellent, within walking distance to Yuyuan Garden Metro, the Bund, restaurants, and shopping malls. Not all staff speak English, but that’s no reason for negative reviews! Download a translation app; locals often use them too, and communication is easy. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Shanghai, safe, convenient, and full of thoughtful touches.

The room was spacious and uniquely decorated. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Staff were helpful and made a good effort to help us despite the language barrier. The location is only a few minutes from the yu garden train station so it is easy to travel throughout the city easily. You can walk to many restaurants and to the yu garden within a few minutes.

Room was clean,very quite sleep,comfortable bed .poor view of other rooms from the bedroom window.i enjoyed that the lobby is located on lvl 7 but to access the rooms you divert completely passed it via lvl 2 which is the entrance .didnt eat there as there are many food options nearby.

Amazing Hotel. We used this hotel for a stopover night on the way back to the UK from Japan. You just need to fill in a small form at the border on the way to immigration for a 240hour/10 days free visa to get out of the airport. If you are doing this as a stopover tell them at checkin so they do not transit your bags! Artistically designed rooms in a great location.We had a large balcony with views overlooking Shanghai. Great service - even though they did not speak much english they use a translater app so communciation was excellent. They really helped us. Lots to see just by walking around and great views of the Bund buildings. We were just here overnight so had enough time to wander around and get some dumplings and noodles from a large array of small restaurants just outside the hotel. The area felt very safe as there are a few hotels about in the area. Good ameneties in the room - USB points so you don't need a plug!. Great breakfast with a wide choice of foods in a big dining room with great views. We just got a tax to get there from the airport - took about 45 mins - equivalent of £20-30 (dependant on amount of traffic - alot more in the morning!) Note - bring an address in chinese as taxi driver could not read the english address. Also the location in the UK version google maps is incorrect. Look for the correct street address. Well worth a visit and Shanghai looks a great place to visit. We wish we actually had extended our stopover for a couple of days.
