I was charged 6 nights for a 5 night visit due to a mistaken booking through Expedia, which has shaded my experience a little. I'll acknowledge I may have made the mistake but the dates of our flight and hotel didn't line up. The front desk was kind enough to correct the issue on check-in (a day late) and said we wouldn't be charged the extra night, but to call if we were and it would be corrected. We were charged afterall, but the GM said the charge was valid and asked for the name of the helpful clerk. Sounded like a trap, so I let that bus go by. It may be policy. However, I was asked to provide a survey which I normally ignore, but a few experiences come to mind. The bed spread had dirt clumps or some brown debris scattered on the top. We considered gettting another room but it was late and a look at the sheets checked out ok, so we brushed the stuff off the bedspread. The first trip to the bathroom was a surprise when the toilet wouldn't flush, especially when it was a little late to not use it. A closer inspection revealed the tank was empty and the valve was closed. The water hammer opening the valve probably woke the neighbors but we filled the bowl and it didn't stop running, so closed it again. I talked to the front desk who promised to have maintenance look at it in the morning - possibly a leaky toilet valve. Otherwise, my only gripe was that we only had sausage for breakfast meat (no bacon), but I was good with the waffle makers for my breakfast.
