My usual hotel was not available due to a few events going on in the area so I tried the Sundowner hotel a few blocks away from my usual hotel. Check in was easy but the room was not up to my standards. The main issue was the floor was incredibly dirty leaving my socks brown after a few minutes. I made my complaint and it was fixed but not a great start. I did not like the bed and the bedding had some discoloration that as off putting. I tried to walk to the office to talk to the manager about that, after the floor thing was fixed, but I could not find them s I left a note. They did contact me after the fact to apologize but the overall stay for me was not the greatest. Not the worst by a long stretch, so I would go back if my usual place was not available.

Cheap alternative in the area

No issues with parking or air conditioning. Clearly an old hotel with a makeover but serviceable. Comfortable bed, and the clerk who checked me in was friendly and professional. I would stay there again.

Great room for a great price.

We were pleasantly surprised with our room. It was a decent size with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean. The shampoo was in small packets and hard to open. Thank goodness I had my own.
