What kept the stay from being almost perfect was the lumpy, worn out foam mattress that caused my spine to get out of alignment. The awful foam mattress really needs to be replaced in the Lavender caboose, and most people prefer innerspring mattresses. Also needs some deep cleaning, the fridge/freezer needed to be cleaned and defrosted, and some cobwebs inside.

We absolutely LOVED our stay. Each caboose has a different theme and decorated beautifully. We chose the Wizards Whistle Stop and loved the Harry Potter style decor. The caboose itself had everything we needed even though our stay was very brief. (we were called into work and had to leave at 3:30am) The mattress was a little firmer than we typically like but I definitely wouldn't hold it against them. Mattress firmness is different for everyone and would be near impossible to appease everyone. The property itself was beautiful. I loved the willow tree and pond. So relaxing after a long day of driving/sightseeing. The horseshoe drive gave a sense of community yet offered privacy. Overall we would absolutely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our caboose that was Christmas themed. The “Polar Express” touches were great. We especially enjoyed these as our town in Michigan has the actual 1225 Polar Express Train that the movie was based on! I would recommend this stay to anyone. Thank you for a unique experience!!
