Welcome to The Duck Shack, a cozy one-bedroom cabin nestled in the beautiful Dungeness area of the Olympic Peninsula. This treasured family retreat has been a favorite getaway for more than 30 years and offers a peaceful place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

The cabin features a comfortable queen bedroom, plus twin bunk beds in the living area, making it a wonderful getaway for couples, small families, or friends. Large windows showcase beautiful views of Dungeness Bay and the Olympic Mountains, bringing the surrounding landscape right into the cabin.

Step outside onto the elevated deck and enjoy the peaceful setting. Watch for bald eagles, ducks, geese, herons, deer, and other wildlife, or gather around the shared fire pit in the evening for s'mores and quiet conversation under the stars. The fire pit is shared with guests staying at our nearby Dungeness Getaway.

Traveling with a larger family or group of friends? The Duck Shack and Dungeness Getaway may be rented separately or together, allowing your group to vacation together while still enjoying the privacy of separate accommodations.

Wildlife is part of the experience here. Guests may see bald eagles, ducks, herons, deer, and other wildlife throughout the property. An eagle's nest near the cabin makes this an especially memorable destination for birdwatchers and nature lovers.

The Duck Shack does not have Wi-Fi. Cell phone service is available depending on your carrier, making this a wonderful opportunity to unplug while still staying connected when needed.

The cabin has a private bathroom with a shower and sink. Please note that there is no indoor toilet at this time. A clean, private porta-potty is located just steps outside the cabin for guest use.
