From the description you expect to be much closer to Carmel than you are and in a different type of environment. That said, the house is spacious with a large deck. That said, there is a feeling that things were thrown together very quickly with the landscaping barely finishedBut I think what set us off was that we were paying as much or more than what we usually pay for more attractive places in much better locations including places we have rented before in Carmel

We had a great weekend here! It was easy to get to nearby Monterey and Carmel. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were perfect for 9 girls all trying to get ready at the same time. The backyard is even better than we thought from the pictures!
