The property was perfect for my needs. I was in a wedding in the area, alone and wanting an economical and safe option to stay at and THE Yardarm was perfect. Very clean, quiet and although its a motel they make every effort to reduce noise. I met the owners, Randy and Wallace at the fire pit the first night. Great conversation, and Randy made me a bonfire which was awesome. Thanks guys! 100% recommend this quaint and awesome Motel.!

Our room was basic but very clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was nice that a fridge and microwave were included. The walls are thin (we could hear our neighbors talking), but a white noise machine was provided and the only sound that woke us was an occasional door banging shut. Breakfast was basic continental and included some healthy options (fruit and yogurt); the blueberry muffins were especially yummy! Overall, we enjoyed our brief stay (as did our pup!) and would recommend as a pet-friendly facility.

The Yard Arm Motel is managed by dear,hospitable and dog lovin folks who truly provide a dog friendly place to stay! The. Rooms are dog friendly! The property includes trails through a lovely green wood into a large mowed area where dogs can safely play away from a busy road and other guests. The property is welcoming, with flowers overflowing in window boxes. There is a fire pit. There is a breakfast room that provides continental fare and a perfect time to meet other travelers from all parts of the US. My family includes 2 newfies. We love the coast of Maine and regularly travel from our home in The white mountains of New Hampshire for a weekend. After staying at the YA twice, we can say that it is our destination place to stay.
