The Nest provided us a nice jumping off point to explore the Maine coast from day trips to Acadia to Camden with lots in between. We worked from the space several days and had no internet issues, which was great.Things to note before booking:- the shower head is very low (at 5'7" I had to squat)- the mattress desperately need a replacing, it caves in at the middle leaving us sunk in a hole- there was 1 roll of tp and no bathroom soaps, just note to bring/get your own- the stairs are steep as described, not an issue for us but could be for others- the space was not super clean: ledges, couch, definitely the couch buttons could use a good deep vacuum- there is another rental on the property, and you cannot count on others following the pet policy of keeping their dogs leashed at all timesOur biggest issue was with the ac, which is of huge importance to us when booking a stay. The host informed us the day prior to our arrival that it was not working & awaiting a part. We were provided with fans & heaters, but being a 2nd floor unit & humid outside that wasn't great. When we inquired about a repair update, they were able to provide us with a dehumidifier which helped on that front but it basically meant it was either warm or damp in the space. We stayed a total of 9 nights and the ac was broken for 8 of them. They gave a 50 GC for the repairman talking half our day, but I think our stay should have discounted as the unit was not as expected the majority of the stay.

This was such a a lovely spot and great hosts! Rick and Sabrina were very warm and welcoming. The space was clean and the patio area outside is a peaceful spot for morning coffee. The space is equipped for cooking as well if you prefer that over takeout .

The Nest is a beautiful place. It was very cozy, equiped, organized, and most importantly clean. The Communicatio was great even though I did not need anything. It has a lot of space and a nice kitchen if you don't feel like eating out. Thank you!

Awesome Maine getaway!

This cute apartment right on the main coastal highway is in a great location (6 miles from Belfast, ~20 miles from Camden, etc) for exploring all Maine has to offer. The size is perfect for one or two people to be very comfortable in a "home away from home." For longer stays (I stayed 2 weeks), there is a laundromat about 5 miles away that is large, clean and very efficient.

convenient location

the apartment was quaint, but it could have been cleaner. Lots of dead insects and debris. The bed was a full, not a queen and left a lot to be desired. There was dog debris in the entranceway that was unpleasant. Perhaps it was too early in the season for an equipped apartment.

Perfect getaway

This place is the perfect spot to be centrally located to everything we wanted to do/see. Loved staying here. It had everything and more that we needed. Each day we ventured out with our pups to explore the areas and came back to a place of complete rest and relaxation. We even enjoyed sitting in the lawn chairs and watching the traffic go by. Yes! Go get some lobster from a local place up the road and make your own lobster rolls and even breakfast. Yummmmmm. Can't wait till we are able to stay again. Thank you so much for your beautiful and comfortable place to stay.

Nice Maine stay

A nice place, with a comfortable bed. Lots of stairs but we had no problem with them. Do wish there had been some sugar.coffee for the 1st day or two. Nice kitchen. It doe get very dark and finding the driveway was tough, solar lights or reflective signs could be very helpful. Nice location, pleasant stay.

Maine Trip

Was a decent place - the refrigerator wasn’t on when we got there and didn’t realize it until the morning and we had done a lot of shopping. Kitchen wasn’t very well stocked compared to other places we stayed. There was no book recommending restaurants or other things to do in the area. Encountered a few roaches. Still would recommend.

Perfect place for us!

We enjoyed our stay in this small but very functional apartment. There are quite a few stairs inorder to enter which was no problem for us however, someone with mobility issues should avoid. Great location on Route 1 along the midcoast. Nice trails across the road for our dog which go to the ocean. Thank you!! Would stay again.
