My recent stay at the Fairfield Inn was deeply disappointing, entirely due to unacceptable cleanliness issues that made the room feel unsanitary.
While the location and check-in were fine, entering the room immediately raised serious red flags. The most shocking oversight was the garbage bin in the main area—it hadn't been emptied from the previous guest and contained old wrappers and used tissues. This is a basic housekeeping requirement and suggests a profound failure in the cleaning process and quality control.
Unfortunately, the problems continued. In the bathroom, the tile floor was noticeably sticky underfoot, making me reluctant to walk on it without shoes. Worse, a large patch of the main room's carpet was wet near the entrance. Stepping on the sodden carpet was extremely unpleasant and immediately made me question the overall hygiene of the entire space.
When basic standards of cleanliness are so thoroughly ignored—especially failing to empty the trash—it's impossible to relax and enjoy your stay. I expected a clean, dry room for the price, and this property failed on fundamental sanitation. I sincerely hope management addresses their housekeeping protocols before renting this room again.
