Gross.

I don’t usually write bad reviews, but this rental in Scotts Bluff deserves a public service announcement.The place is disgusting. The bedroom carpets are stained/crusty and smell like cat piss. We found cat toys under the beds, so there’s no question where the stench came from. We slept with the windows and doors open the entire time, but even with that, the smell was horrid. If you’re allergic to cats, don’t bother. If you aren’t allergic to cats, don’t bother. We wore shoes the entire time and did our best not to touch anything. The kitchen? Barely usable. No cups, few dishes, a broken microwave, and a fridge that held a steady 55 degrees. We let Carlos know, but it took him 1.5 days to reply. By then we’d made other arrangements to keep our food cold, so his solution was useless. Amenities included half a roll of toilet paper (one-ply, naturally) for a three-day stay and a back deck straight out of an OSHA training video. Rotting boards, surprise sinkholes—great if you’re looking to twist an ankle.Then came the grand finale: the driveway full of roofing nails—one of which gifted us a flat tire. The kind soul at the tire shop not only patched us up but handed back the offending nail, which—surprise!—looked exactly like the dozens sprinkled across Carlos’ driveway. Truly, the cherry on top of this five-star fiasco.Carlos, my guy, you’ve got some nerve listing this place. At least the WiFi worked. So I could write this review.
