Excellent hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms. Small kitchen, unfortunately without microwave. Hotel is located in a very quiet but beautiful surrounding. Not much to do in the village of Schöneck, so for restaurants or shopping you need to take a trip.

Yes, it is an rather „retro“ Hotel and so the sofa is a bit aged. So don‘t expect brand new furnishing/facillities. But it has it‘s charm and is a reminder of the former GDR. The staff is very friedly and helpful and the breakfast is delicious and offers many variations (also vegan milk and breadspread options) and lots of fresh fruit. The pool costs extra but was in good condotion. The whole family enjoyed the slides and the waves. Only the strikt non-smoking policy did not work and people unfortunately smoked on the balkony. The staff was very apologetic about it and tried to solve the problem immediately but could not find pur all smokers. Overall we experienced good value for our money and would definetely book again. An absolute plus: the view is incredible!

In short: one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Worst of all is the customer service. There was only one person at reception who spoke poor English. All the rest of the staff speak only German, all information and signs are in German. When checking in, we did not receive any information about amenities, facilities, absolutely nothing. Also, everyone is EXTREMELY unfriendly, almost rude. Even if there is absolutely no prior information, when you arrive at the hotel they charge for absolutely everything as an extra. To access the pool area, EUR 8 per person for 2 hours. The pool area is old and seedy (as is the entire hotel). The area is not suitable for small children as it is extremely cold and the water was "heated" to only 29 degrees! So we couldn't use the pool, but we still had to pay to stay 15 minutes in this horrible area. The room is extremely old, everything has strong signs of wear and tear. The rug was dirty, as was the couch. The bathroom is small and horrible, low pressure shower, tiny shower box and plastic curtains. In the kitchen there was only 1 pan (which was giant) and that was it! Impossible to use even to heat baby food. There are no microwaves or "normal" cups (only really mini ones). No accessories for cooking basically, not suitable for more than 1 night. Wifi doesn't work in the rooms. The parking lot is far away so it is not convenient if it is cold, raining or snowing.

Et overraskende fint familiehotel i skønne omgivelser, morgenmaden var fin, og aftensmaden var fin og varierede hver dag. Et rigtigt fint sted med børn, der er badeland, og stort legerum. virkelig sødt personale, de fleste personale kunne kun snakke tysk, men det var okay, de gjorde alt for at vi skulle forstå dem, så stor ros til dem. fine værelser rene værelser, det eneste var at bruseren var lidt slidt, så den kunne vekslede imellem koldt og varmt vand. vi kunne have ønsket os en lidt større legeplads på hotellets grund.

Vi blev mødt af en masse gebyr som ikke var beskrevet i bookingen. Vandlandet kunne man kun bruge 2 timer om dagen, ellers blev der pålagt et gebyr hvis man skulle bruge det derefter. Maden er ikke pengene værd. Selvom vi fik skiftet værelse var rengøringen ikke bedre. Madrester i køleskabet, ledninger der stak ud fra lampen, toilettet der ikke var rent. Beskidte glas, støv, olie/madrester på væggen i køkkenet. Vi blev oplyst der var en masse aktiviteter til børn udendørs men fik ikke et kort eller gennemgang af det. Personalet var meget dårligt til engelsk.

Vi mødte op med tasker i receptionen og sagde vores navn, hvorefter vi blev mødt med et vrissende “Was möchten sie?!” Vi kunne selvfølgelig have sagt, vi ville tjekke ind, men da det er et hotel, tog vi det lidt som en selvfølge. Uanset hvad, var det et dårligt første-indtryk. Værelset var fint, men gammelt og slidt. Svømmebadet var super og ungerne elskede det! Morgenmaden var også rigtig fin med herlig panorama-udsigt.

Die Zimmer waren sauber und gemütlich. Ich habe mich wohlgefühlt. Die Aussicht aus dem 8. Stock ist ein Traum. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut. Da findet jeder was. Was mir wichtig ist: der Kaffee schmeckt. Das Hotel kann man empfehlen für einen Urlaub im Vogtland.

2-Raum-Appartment war OK für ein paar Tage als 4-köpfige Familie. Die Kochnische hatte einen Kühlschrank, Waschbecken, Herd. Für die Kinder war der neu gemachte Indoorspielplatz mit Bällebad cool, sich das Schwimmbad war nett mit 2 großen Becken, 2 Rutschen, Baby Pool, Höhlensystem und Jacuzzi. Dort gab es für Hotelgäste aber nur 10% Rabatt... Wir hatten Halbpension dabei, war wirklich gut. Wenn man es nicht inkludiert hat, kostet es abends 40 Euro für Erwachsene (inkl Wein, Bier, Softdrinks!) und das Frühstück 22 Euro. Die Lage ist super, man kann direkt raus auf die Skipiste bzw im Sommer zum Kletterwald oder Mountainbike Parcours. Parkplatz kostet 7 Euro pro Nacht. Heizung funktionierte, aber es gibt keine Klimaanlage (Sommer kann also kritisch werden...).

Wir sind schon viele Jahr in dieser Unterkunft als Gast. Die Anlage und die Zimmer sind sauber, es ist alles im Gebäude (Freizeit, Bad, Sauna, Essen und die kleinen Skihänge sind im nahen Außenbereich schnell zu erreichen. Für uns ist es ausreichend, die Kinder haben ihren Spaß und die Anfahrtentfernung erträglich.

Zum Abend gab es nur Büfett ab 40€. Ich als Diabetiker wollte nureine Portion für 20€. Wurde abgelehnt,sie sagten zu mir, dann müssen sie außerhalb des Hotels im Ort zu Abendessen gehen. Ich werde dieses Hotel nicht mehr besuchen.

Zimmer im 7.Stock herunter gekommen. Von einer Renovierung nichts zu sehen. Bad und Toilette war dreckig. Vorhang zum Schlafzimmer im unteren Bereich über komplette Seite mit Blut verschmiert. Rezeptionistin war nicht kompetent und forsch. Zimmerwechsel fand nicht statt. Hotel war maximal zu 10% belegt. Abendessen im Restaurant war kalt , Auswahl war nicht gut, vieles zu trocken. Sehr schade, da es uns für 4 Personen 100Eur gekostet hat. Das Hotel wirkt sehr alt (70iger) . Geld nimmt man gerne, aber investieren will man nicht wirklich. Sehr schade.
