The Seeblick House, with a genuine view of the lake, is located on the edge of the forest about 75 meters above sea level above Königssee, in a quiet and nearly secluded setting. The world-famous artificial bobsled and toboggan run is in the immediate vicinity and within direct sight. The location is ideal for mountain hikes, via ferrata adventures (the first house on the trail), and those seeking relaxation while enjoying panoramic views. Königssee is a five-minute walk away, and the center of Schönau is about a 15-minute walk. The garden and terrace offer an outstanding view of Königssee and the surrounding Berchtesgaden mountains.
Our “Kahlersberg” apartment (55 m²) with a genuine lake view is located on the first floor of the building. Access is via a small flight of stairs from the parking lot and another flight of stairs to the front door (not wheelchair accessible). Located in the eastern wing of the historic building, which was constructed in 1931, the apartment features windows facing north, east (lake view), and south. You can reach the large garden in the northern and eastern areas, including the panoramic terrace, via the entryway (unfortunately, a direct exit isn’t possible here due to the privacy of other guests).
From the apartment door, you enter the kitchen with a dining area, followed by the living room with satellite TV, an utility room, and the bathroom with a toilet and a bathtub/shower/outdoor window. The cozy bedroom rounds out the apartment.
Preserved Voglau-style furniture from days gone by, combined with the unique view of Lake Königssee and the surrounding mountains, creates a breathtaking atmosphere.
The mountain ranges of Kehlstein, Hoher Göll, Hoher Brett, the Hagen Mountains, and—of course—the “Kahlersberg,” which gives the apartment its name, lie directly across from you, inviting you to embark on further adventures.
