Our house is situated on a slight hill in an idyllic location on the edge of the forest in the Oberschönau district of Schönau am Königssee. Here you’ll find the perfect starting point for various hikes. The legendary Königssee is just 3.5 km away via a walking trail or a few minutes’ ride on the free bus or in your own car. Whether you’re hiking with your family to the Grünstein, Söldenköpfl, or Hirschkaser/Toter Mann, or as an experienced mountaineer heading to the Watzmann—you can reach it all on foot from here. Right in front of the house, you’ll find a cross-country ski trail in winter, and just 550 meters away is the Grünsteinlift, which is especially popular with children. Easy hikes, such as to Königssee, can be done without a car. The bus stop for the Kehlsteinhaus is about a 15-minute ride away; Berchtesgaden town center is about 10 minutes away; and the Ramsau National Park near Berchtesgaden/Hintersee is about a 20-minute drive away. A small grocery store, bakery, and butcher shop are located in the immediate vicinity, and the “Kramerlehen” bus stop is only 250 meters away.
Our Söldenköpfl-Blick vacation rental, completely newly built in 2024, offers 80 square meters of space and is equipped with 2 bedrooms (1 with a double bed and 1 with single beds in a bunk bed), each with its own TV; two bathrooms (one with a shower, one with a bathtub), a guest restroom, a large kitchen-living room with a sofa set, an extra-large TV, and a Swedish stove, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a dining area. The generously furnished terrace (20 square meters) also features a grill. Children are very welcome here! Our vacation rental is rated 5***** stars by the DTV (German Tourism Association).
