A vacation at the cozy Schleiverliebt houseboat, right on the waterfront of the Schlei Baltic Sea fjord in Schleswig’s Viking Harbor, means relaxation and rejuvenation, freedom, or adventure—whether you’re traveling with friends, family, or as a couple.

This spacious, permanently moored waterfront house is unique both in the region and within our fleet, offering you all the comforts of a modern, high-quality vacation apartment with a spacious sun terrace facing the Schlei. In the cozy, light-filled living room with an open kitchen, you can relax on the couch or in an armchair, or gather around the spacious table for a delicious meal or a game night. The wood-burning stove adds a cozy touch to the atmosphere.

The well-equipped kitchen, featuring all essential appliances, a stovetop, and a combination oven/microwave, leaves nothing to be desired, allowing you to quickly refocus on the essentials of your vacation. Inside the houseboat, in addition to the living area, you’ll find two cozy bedrooms and a modern bathroom with a shower. The first bedroom features a 160 cm wide double bed, while the second has a cozy bunk bed. Of course, there’s also Wi-Fi via Starlink and a TV. You’ll find plenty of storage space in the closets in each room.

From the spacious sun deck, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Schleswig and the Schlei Baltic Sea fjord, including the Möweninsel nature reserve. Make yourself comfortable on the patio furniture or settle into the beach chair and let your mind wander while gazing out at the water. Here you can enjoy breakfast at sunrise and get the day off to a great start. In the evening, enjoy the maritime atmosphere from a front-row seat with an exclusive sundowner.

Once you’ve refueled, there’s plenty to discover: The central location offers excellent opportunities for a shore excursion, for example to the old fishing district of Holm or to Gottorf Castle. Right near the harbor, you’ll find plenty of shopping options, cafés, and restaurants, as well as the tourist information office and a bike rental shop. By bike, you can explore the Haithabu Viking Museum and numerous quaint villages nestled in the countryside, among other attractions. Or you can take a cruise along the Schlei on the historic saloon steamer “Wappen von Schleswig.” Numerous natural swimming spots, lakes, and the nearby Baltic Sea beaches also provide a refreshing escape on summer days and invite you to take long walks in the spring and fall.

We use only natural cleaning products that are 100% biodegradable to clean our properties. This also applies to everything you’ll find on board: toilet paper, soap, dish soap, shampoo, and shower gel!

Please note that the use of bed linens is mandatory. You can either bring your own or add them to your booking during the reservation process.

At the Wendtorf, Barth, and Schleswig locations, additional fees in the form of a visitor’s tax, tourism fee, or lodging tax apply. These costs are not included in the price and will be billed separately afterward.
