With its central location between the southern foothills of the Teutoburg Forest and the western Weserbergland, our vacation rental offers endless opportunities for an active vacation.
Nearby attractions include the German Fairy Tale Route, the Weser Renaissance Route, Corvey Abbey and Castle (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and the Fürstenberg Porcelain Manufactory.
Numerous spa towns in the area delight visitors with a wide variety of attractions. For example, the nearby Staatsbad Pyrmont offers not only its famous Palm Garden, the Hufelandtherme, and the castle, but also such unusual attractions as a mist cave and sinkholes.
In the nearby Kneip spa town of Schieder, the Baroque garden with its castle grounds and the idyllically situated Schiedersee lake with its amusement park and lakeside terraces invite visitors to linger.
Germany’s largest open-air museum in Detmold, with its themed villages, is well worth a visit. As a hub for architecture and music at its university of applied sciences, Detmold offers a wide range of cultural and artistic attractions, including the Lippisches Landesmuseum, the Landestheater, and its beautiful old town. The nearby Externsteine, the Heiligenkirchen Bird Park, the Berlebeck Eagle Sanctuary, and, of course, the Hermann Monument are definitely worth a visit. For sports enthusiasts, the Teutoburg Forest also offers hiking trails and mountain bike routes. There is also a climbing park near the Hermann Monument.

Sehr schöne Wohnung, schönes Wetter und ( mit Ausnahmen) schöne Städte. Am schönsten waren Detmold und Höxter, am schlechtesten Holzminden.

Wohlfühlort

In der Ferienwohnung habe ich mich wie zuhause gefühlt. Alles, was notwendig ist und noch mehr war vorhanden, die Ausstattung entsprach genau der Beschreibung. Vom großen Balkon hat man einen tollen Ausblick in den sehr schönen Naturgarten und die Umgebung. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und äußerst zuvorkommend. Von dem Standort aus konnten viele schöne Radtouren und Ausflüge unternommen werden. Es liegen zwar keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe, was allerdings für mich kein Negativaspekt ist. Vielen Dank für die gute Zeit!
