The Maynard is a very atmospheric hotel. Our room was spacious clean and comfortable, a perfect refuge at the end of the day. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was good. On our arrival we were greeted by a very friendly woman.

Whilst the decor was a little dated our stay was great. Staff helpful and friendly. You can't get breakfast at The Maynard but their sister hotel on the corner was just minutes away, and you got a discount for being guests at The Maynard. Staff/Service excellent. The only thing i would say is my friend was unable to take a bath or shower as there was not a slip mat to assist in their safety.

Clean and spacious family room in a lovely part of Scarborough, within easy reach of town and the South beach but away from the hustle and bustle. I stayed in a twin room with my granddaughter for 2 nights in a twin room which had a double and a single bed. We were very impressed with our room as it was very clean and spacious. The property seemed to be well maintained and I was able to park outside after purchasing a permit for £10 for 2 nights. My only concern was that there wasn’t a staff member present later in the day or first thing in the morning and I had to just leave the key on the desk when I left just before 9am, checkout is 10am.

The hotel is clean . But a little bit dated . You have to go to the sister hotel around the corner for breakfast. The staff were brilliant. The service in the was very friendly food in the sister hotel was great i struggled to eat the large breakfast but the pancakes were beautiful.
