The staff member was ver helpful but parking was troublesome as it was very tight. There was another car park around the back which was much more accessible. Have advice of places to eat in nearby area. All good.

It was the most disgusting place it needs to be cleaned up. We could not even view the room we had to find alternative accommodation which was extra cost not budgeted for. This place should NEVER be advertised. I am sorry I paid for this poor excuse of a hotel

The receptionist was lovely, the hotel was not. The pics online look like it is in its own grounds - but it is located at the top of a terraced house street only. Ugly to look at inside and out. The whole hotel needs a complete refurbishment to bring it back to its (probably) former life. The room was spacious but had nothing going for it. Clean sheets thank goodness! Bathroom was tiny and not in proportion with the room. Had no character and out dated. Awful colour scheme no character. The corridors were dirty with rubbish thrown in a corner. Windows were dirty and the 1 night stay was all we had booked thank goodness.

Cheap, quiet and clean with helpful staff. Building was once a beautiful gothic victorian spa and has a lots of original features. Sadly the the building and decor have seen better days, but what can be expected at such a lot cost?

When we arrived well after the start of the booking in period, our room was not ready. After waiting for some time we were given our key. Once in the room we discovered that there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. My partner went back downstairs to ask for some and was told someone would bring us some. About two hours later we were still waiting. We went to reception and asked again. We were treated as if we were asking for something unusual and after initially being offered two rolls, when we gave our room number we were only allowed one. There was also a lot of thumping going on somewhere above us until late at night. I would describe this hotel as being like a cross between Fawlty Towers and The Shining!
