We had a nice time at the grand and the views from the bar and the restaurant were spectacular, we paid for the breakfast and had a fantastic choice of ingredients to choose from. The only bug bear is its card payments only where I prefer to pay cash

Fabulous location and once you get past the dated decor, this hotel has a lot going for it. Yes it’s not perfect but it has a certain charm and I’ll always book to stay here. Gorgeous beach views in certain rooms and the staff we came across were very friendly. You get what you pay for but we love it. Can’t be beaten on ease of access to the beach and sea front.

Despite the reputation of this hotel I could not fault it. Everything was clean, my room huge, staff helpful, breakfast generous. The building and views from it are magnificent. Anyone concerned about it housing hoards of illegal immigrants ?? There are none there.

Grand location, right on the cliffs overlooking the beach and beachfront attractions. The Grand Hotel is Victorian era grandeur with charm but has seen better days. We found a bargain with some trade offs that were worth it for us.
