The hotel is basic, but functional. I was a bit disappointed when arriving at the hotel 17:00 to learn that the check-in was at a pizza restaurant 300+ meters away. The room and appointments were very basic and a bit run down. Notably, the bathroom was really small and the shower was integrated into the bathroom. The breakfast was pretty good. At the same time, the room had a very nice view of the lake and the hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the Opera.

A unique hotel close to the heart of Savonlinna. Easy stay and had a good breakfast with plenty of options. Rooms can get hot in the summer as there was no ac, just a fan. Luckly visited at the end of summer with lower temperatues

Older hotel. No air conditioning. The room was way too hot at summer time and should not be rented for full price. Nice location with a view to the castle and very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent too.

No aircon, if you opened the windows there was wasps trying to come in. The windows could really use mosquito covers. Breakfast was minimal, selection poor. The beds were good and everything was very clean. Furniture on the hallway was old and broken...

Great location by the lake, with beautiful views. This is an older property which has been repurposed. It would be great if they redid the interiors to make it more comfortable, although it is an interesting view of an older hotel. It faces the sun in the morning, so the rooms get quite hot and opening the windows can only cool it so much, so it was quite warm in the evening. This was mid-summer, so perhaps in the winter this works well. The breakfast option was good. Young staff, helpful and courteous.

Siisti, pieni hotelli. Meillä oli mukava iso huone ensimmäisessä kerroksessa. Koska ilma oli viileähkö, ei ilmastointia kaivannut. Aamiainen oli aivan riittävä, joskin aamiaishuone pieni. Menimme oman huoneen oleskelutilaa syömään, toimi ihan hyvin. Huone sopisi pidempäänkin oleskeluun, jos keittiössä olisi perusastiat.

Hotellin sijainti oli loistava ja rakennuksessa oli tiettyä ”charmia”. Huone oli tilava ja siisti, mutta erittäin kulunut. Tapetit repsottivat, seinät olivat pahastikolhiintuneet ja kaikki keittiön ja kylpyhuoneen kalusteet sekä huonekalut olivat kulahtaneita. Keittiöstä ei ollut mitään iloa, koska se oli täysin varustelematon (ei mitään astioita, ruokailuvälineitä tai ruoanlaittovälineitä). Hotellihuone (jonka piti olla tasokkaammasta päästä) oli kuntoonsa ja varustelutasoonsa nähden ylihinnoiteltu. Aamiainen oli monipuolinen ja oikein hyvä.

Huone ei ollut odotusten mukainen vaan nuhjuinen ja tahrainen. Sijainti oli aivan ensiluokkainen. Näkymä järvelle ja lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä Olavinlinnassa ja keskustasta. Vastaanotto oli muutaman sadan metrin päässä ja sitä piti hetken etsiä. Vastaanoton sijaintia osoittava suuntanuoli villan edessä osoitti 180° väärään suuntaan.

Respa ja aamupala eri paikassa kuin verkkosivuilla väitettiin. Huoneessa yksi sänky siivoamatta edellisen asiakkaan jäljiltä. Respa verkkosivujen mukaa viereisessä rakennuksessa; siellä ovet lukossa ja ovessa puhelinnumero johon pyydettiin soittamaan- numero ei käytössä! Respa löytyi 300 metrin päässä olevasta ravintolasta. Huoneen tv ei toiminut, yrittivät korjata siinä onnistumatta - MM-futismatsi jäi näkemättä. Huone varauksen mukaan boutiquehotellin deluxe - huoneen taso ei ollut lähellekään sitä eikä vastannut hintaa. Petetty olo!

At the end of the day, all I really need is a quiet place to sleep and I got it. The reason for the poor reviews is that there was no WIFI despite it being advertised when I booked the room. This made it difficult to plan activities and meals. The TV did not work either. Normally this would not be a big deal, but you think this would be a priority during the World Cup. There is also no staff on hand or front desk to offer any assistance. On a positive note, the rooms were spacious and the breakfast was pretty good.
