A beautiful resort hidden on a winding dirt road atop a hill set among the trees and wildlife with an exceptional view of the Pacific Ocean below. This resort recently opened to the public in January 2024. Upon arrival we were immediately relaxed and at peace, secure in the knowledge that we’d booked a great spot to enjoy Costa Rica. It’s a bed and breakfast style in the sense that breakfast was included each day. Our room was spacious and modern with a luxurious bed facing out toward nature and the Pacific Ocean. Nicely appointed bathroom with spacious shower. In room safe and bath robes. No TV in the room, but you won’t miss it and WiFi is included. We had a semi private balcony perfect for sipping your coffee while relaxing or looking out for monkeys, toucans, etc. The amazing sunsets were viewable from the balcony. And you could watch the sunrise by stepping just outside your front door. The pool area/terrace features a large infinity pool perfect for relaxing, a photo op, or swimming laps. There are comfortable lounge chairs, umbrellas, a grill, and outdoor kitchen area. The flower beds on property attract beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds. And we also saw capybaras scurrying around. There is even a bocce court(lawn bowling). Every member of the staff were helpful, kind and welcoming. Thank you to Ronald, Tony, and the others for making us feel at home. We would definitely return and feel lucky to have chosen Lamangata for our first visit to Costa Rica.
