The check-in process with the property mgt company (separate from VRBO) was simply awful. I spent two days playing email and phone tag with them to provide a photo of my driver's license and credit card, something I wasn't comfortable with and have never had to do before with any VRBO or other rental. I offered to provide my DL and CC in person when we arrived but that wasn't acceptable and they threatened to cancel my reservation if I didn't send by email. So I reluctantly sent the info, but the emails I sent weren't being received repeatedly despite showing as delivered on my end, and they continued to threaten to cancel my reservation. Eventually I had to text the information. Meanwhile the address of the property and checking details were withheld until I provided the required information. They also insisted on knowing how many were in our party (no big deal but already provided in the VRBO booking), why we were coming to Savannah and how old each person in our party was. An unusual request. All of this took place while we were trying to vacation in FL and during the drive to Savannah so it basically ruined the last day of our FL trip and made the drive to GA a lot longer and more stressful. When we finally received the check-in details, there was no parking details provided so we called but only got voicemail and never heard back from them. We finally figured out the parking spot was in the alley behind the property. All in all a nightmare of a check-in process.
