We loved the breakfast prepared by the owner every morning. The southern food, such as sausage and Gullah baked grapefruit, is delicious and the conversation with the owner and other guests is very interesting and informative.

This is a beautiful, historic, house. Doc was a treasure, offering suggestions for enjoying Savannah to the fullest. He served delicious breakfast, which always featured treasured recipes from Savannah’s past. It is perfectly located, within walking distance of historic downtown as well as the Riverfront shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and gracious hospitality.

Parking was on the property and secure. The house is absolutely beautiful with many antiques. Breakfast was always delicious and included a history of what was served. Excellent overall experience. Will definitely visit again. Classic 19th century house filled with beautiful antiques thoughtfully placed. Fabulous Savannah inspired breakfasts. Knowledgeable host who recommended various places to tour. Plus he was friends with most of the characters in the movie, “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.” So, you were privy to a lot of the backstories in regards to the book and film.
