Outdoor and indoor locks could be much better. There is construction going on, and we knew it was in one building, but it's on both sides and quite invasive when trying to park and enter the home. Privacy was also compromised once during our stay. Jet rub didn't work. Bathroom showerhead wouldn't stay upright to shower and leaked horribly, so only one shower was functioning properly.

This historic house is a fine example of1800”s architecture. It has beautiful door/window moldings, elegant chandeliers, tall ceilings and hardwood floors. However, kitchen cabinet doors are not closing correctly, the back porch/stairs entry has rotting balusters, non-slip stair stickers are peeling/coming off, gutters are leaking and leaving rust and slippery handrails. We must also mention that the buildings on both sides are being renovated and the workers were on site every day, including Saturday and Sunday, at 7:30am with commercial equipment beeping and ladders being slammed into the house. These companies are also occupying most street parking spaces leaving us long walks each day. Lastly, the location is a central historic area, but Oglethorpe Ave is a thoroughfare with car/bus/truck traffic all day and night.

Great Location, easy to walk to downtown, Forsythe Park, and lots of restaurants and bars including 1790 Inn and Restaurant around the corner! Enjoyed the large living room to hang out with our friends and loved the antique staircase to the 2nd floor. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

The house was beautiful! It was clean and well appointed. The construction outside and lack of maintenance on the courtyard in back was sad. We did enjoy it overall and would def reserve it again. Also, there is a smaller unit downstairs that was part of the original house. I would get that next time as well to have 3 real bedrooms.

Great home in the heart of downtown Savannah! Extremely walkable & clean. Construction is happening next door but we were out and about most of the day and were unbothered.

Property badly needs update/maintenance/attention. Problems/issues:Walls need paint in dining room, etc. Painters tape holding tile on wall in bathroom, unpainted repairs to wall, door knobs and latches don’t work in bedrooms. Gutter system outside made rain fall on stairway in back entrance. No numbers in back lane for access -where is our house?, especially at night. No placemats or tablecloth so dining room table badly marked with rings, etc. Coffee pot lid broken. No hot pot holders (pads). Front door lock broken -you cannot exit the front door! Newell post topper on main staircase missing. Fountain in courtyard not working. Poor koi fish in slimy, stagnant green pool. Master bed ridiculously high- at waist high on me and I am 5'7No doors close completely except 2 in entire apartment. Shower door in master(glass!) impossibly hard to open/close. Shower faucet loose, leaks, sprays to side. Major construction area-on both sides. "Luxury condos” being built on one side, and a total deconstruction down to bare walls being conducted on the other. Neither project to be completed soon - both projects long-term.WiFi good. Clean, soft sheets, plenty of pillows. Towels soft and absorbent. Entire place pretty beat up and kinda sad. Historic home with good bones but it needs attention.

Gorgeous and historic

This property is beautiful and old. Everything I wanted for our trip. I wish I could give it an overall rating of 5, but because of its age, it does have some issues. The master shower is not well built. The door sticks and leaks. And there is a soft spot in the floor by the powder room that felt like it might collapse when you step on it. I reported these to the management company, so hopefully they will be fixed.

It was good! It definitely had the feel of staying in historic downtown. We wish they had some info about the history of the place on hand. All appliances and fixtures worked well. The place just needs some TLC. Exterior doors reinforced. Needs walls repaired and worn furnishings repaired. The bathrooms need new shower heads and the glass enclosure for the one shower needs to be reinstalled the correct way. Shower door drags on tile. It would have been nice to know about construction taking place on both sides of us during booking. All in all, we were pleased but have seen great places like this go downhill fast from lack of tender loving care.

Excellent location

Location is excellent for historical Savannah. Walking distance to all major interests. Beautiful views of the cemetary at night. However, the street is very noisy and busy. We were not aware of construction right next door which was very noisy even on Saturday.

Beautiful house. Great Location. Loud construction next door.

The house was beautiful as was the location. There is construction going on next door, which we were unaware of and was very loud. The construction workers could very easily see inside of the bathrooms due to the top of the windows being uncovered. Communication with Lucky Savannah was easy but I was called while out in the downtown area and told that I needed to move my vehicle because another guest of theirs wanted to park. I was told that if I did not move my vehicle, they would tow it. Mind you I was in the assigned space for the rental. Turns out the house cleaner was parked in their spot but Lucky Savannah was unware that she was still there, and instead of looking into the situation further on their end, assumed I was parked incorrectly and threatened to tow my truck. I rushed back from the activity I was engaged in and figured out who was parked in the other guests spot. They were rude and offered an disingenuous apology.

Comfortable old house though stairs may be problematic for elderly. Well located and parking space available in back was critical. Some minor repairs need attention ( duck tape holding the shower head in place, water leaking from shower likely needing a fresh caulking, etc.) However, on the downside during our stay, an apartment building was being constructed immediately next door so cranes and hammering beams began at 7:00AM, diesel fumes from equipment permeated the house and men working could look right into the back upstairs bathroom limiting privacy significantly. I know this won’t go on forever but it was extremely bothersome during our stay!
