We enjoyed our stay, the highlights for us were the live music ( Friday night, he was incredibly talented 10/10 musician) and the drag queen bingo on Sunday! Drinks were well made and entertain was 10/10 at Bahi Hut tiki bar on site. Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Easy parking. Very pleasant staff. Would absolutely recommend. There is no elevator to second floor. But the front desk was able to switch our floor to the main level to accommodate an older family member with us. (( Just a heads up in case you might be traveling with someone with limited mobility)) The vibe of the hotel is fun and retro. I felt like I was in Elvis's Blue Hawaii.

We would have given an overall 4 but Saturday evening was extremely loud (the speakers were just outside our room) and we were told it would shut down at 10. Not the case, it was more like 11. Evening front desk did not seem too concerned about our concerns. Had we known there was a wedding, we may have not booked. Some other comments about the room: A/C was a little wonky at first, actually did not blow much air but it eventually cooled down. There is no place to hang anything. Perhaps convert the alcove into a closet. Otherwise, the remodel is cute, pool area is very nice and we came soley because of the Bahi Hut (our first visit). Front desk staff upon arrival were very friendly.

The hotel is very convenient to SRQ and has an old nostalgic Florida vibe. The staff is amazing and solves issues if they arise. I would say some interior details need attention from a handyman. Great bar and a swimming pool on-site.

the room was super clean & the staff were really friendly. i enjoyed the fact that they came in while we were gone and changed out towels & took the trash out. also a plus: the drinks at the tiki bar are 10/10!!

My stay at Golden Host was absolutely awesome!!! It was close to the airport, which was very convenient thank you so much. I had an amazing time at the tiki bar,which included Drag Bingo,so much fun!!!! Prices were more than decent. I couldn't ask for a better place to stay and if I'm in the area,it is definitely my go to place to stay!!! Great little motel at a reasonable rate. The pool area was fantastic and general areas were modern and set the holiday tone. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice but cleaning was the only thing I would fault, the room was surface level cleaned but the cleaners need to remember to clean under things and behind the beds

The room had an overwhelming musty smell, but seemed to be clean. I could not use the hairdryer, because the outlet the hairdryer was attached to, was not working (rm. 117). Bed was comfortable enough and the room itself was ok as well. I would stay there again, if the room would not smell of musty. Overall it was ok.
