Fantastic overnight in Santu Lussurgiu, a charming… And very steep… medieval town with many a tiny street and alleyway. The guest house is beautifully redone from its ancient roots. Mariano and his family were so wonderful and welcoming. Mariano’s second question to me was “Have you made plans for dinner?” And I told him no I hadn’t t and he said well tonight you are having pizza and sent me to La Locanda del Convento. Fairly legendary pizza to be sure, and communal table so one and all mingle. Being the consummate host, Mariano also suggested I join the locals at the piazza bar Raju Raju pre-dinner 😉 Breakfast the next morning at the guest house was quite large and varied. Eggs from their own hens, homemade baked goods. Incredible cheeses and cured meats from the area. Highly recommended!
