Buyer Beware The Inn offer rooms at a very discount rate thru Expedia They don’t let you book two days in a row for the room but they they’ll book two days individually What they don’t do is tell you since each day is treated individually They will sell your nexts days room reservation to a higher payer for the room and they tell you that have to move into another real cheap room the next day. They tell you this with no conscience . Their response to all questions of concern or inquiry about the awful circumstance is deferring all blame to Expedia ( Which is not true). Do not stay here it is a complete bait a switch. I have reached to the Santa Fe Chamber of commerce and local groups who stand for consumer safety Very demoralizing on vacation when you arrive in your room for a multi day stay and unpack, spread out, a get comfortable . Then they tell you early next morning you have to pack up a move. It’s unbelievable!

Overall the room quality was average for New Mexico… The shower light bulb was out, the living room area was missing lighting fixtures as well. The sink faucet was very loose and appears broken and not tightened to the counter, the TV remotes didn’t control volume, the room felt like it was quickly renovated and threw some furniture in there to make it look ready to stay in but felt like it was lacking repairs. You are charged $30 a day for the breakfast, Santa Fe conservation stuff and snacks (we didn’t see any snacks around aside from “Nature valley granola bars” in the lobby) the breakfast in the morning was very good and we appreciated the staff friendliness. The close proximity to the plaza was great.

Great little gem!

Great breakfast spread! The muffins are delicious!!! Adorable, quiet, relaxing little place. Great location! Close enough to walk to the plaza, but far enough to be quiet during the Fiesta!

I really wanted to love this property but it was just… ok. The decor, location, parking, and check in was excellent. The room needed some work. The bathroom window didnt close and was open about half an inch (the 2 photos I’ve attached) with thick spider webs, paint job around the room was sloppy, the window AC unit didnt really work very well.

The pros: breakfast was great! The outside of the hotel was beautiful! Very well taken care of outside and in the lobby/bar area. The staff was super friendly!! The cons: upon turning on the AC in the room, it started to leak (5 minutes after arrival.) We told the front desk, and they said someone would be out to fix it. In the 3 days we were there no one had ever done so. We had to put a trash can below it (wicker trash can so every drop that hit the bag was louuud, and it was leaking a lot), and had to empty it out through out the day/night. We were on vacation, so having to wake up at 2 or 3am was not the most fun thing to do. Lights were broken in the main room. The water pressure was terrible. Also not a big deal but, in the room we stayed in, the artwork was extremely unsettling lol, very creepy. Overall, 3 out of 5 stars. Would we stay here again? Probably not. Was it a good experience? Meh, kinda. However, we gained a fun story to tell about our first ever Santa Fe experience!

A Hidden Gem in Santa Fe

The Inn at Vanessie proved to be a wonderful surprise hidden away in Santa Fe. To start, it is just a few blocks from downtown, but that wasn't the only wonderful surprise. Our suite was large, beautifully decorated and clean. The morning after checking in, we went to breakfast and found a lovely selection of foods including big juicy raspberries, blackberries, great yogurt and a nice selection of eggs, bacon or sausage and toast. The coffee and tea selection were excellent. We will be back and shared our opinion with friends who live in Santa Fe and have visitors needing accommodations.

Very nice rooms, but walls are thin (or hollow) so you get a lot of traffic noise, people in parking lot, and guests in other rooms. Staff were very polite, but had an attitude of waiting for the hotel to end. Disappointing breakfast buffet. But, easy walk to Plaza and rail yard for dining, museums.

Stayed here previously, our rooms were nice, this time , absolutely not, deal breaker. No room service , no support on that issue, not sure what’s going on with the water in shower and sink, it’s bi polar , no working channels, the shower , floors, nowhere near halfway clean. So very sad about all this!

I've never given a hotel review before as most hotels are average. The Inn at Vanessie was hands down the best hotel myself and my husband have ever stayed at! We LOVE Santa Fe and have stayed in the more expensive and been very disappointed by the cleanliness, and uncomfortable beds. The Inn at Vanessie staff was so welcoming, room was spotless and bed was very comfortable. Im sad we only had one night here since we were passing through, but this will from now on be our hotel of choice in Santa Fe!
