This hotel needs updated badly. The beds are old with old mattress covers and sheets. Carpet needs to be replaced and old pieces of Indian blankets looked like they have been touched and needing cleaned in the elevator.

A good south Santa Fe stay.

The hotel has good bones. Most recently remodeled. In south Santa Fe near Presbyterian. You'll need a vehicle to reach the museums, old town, restaurants. Breakfast offerings have the usual: waffles, muffins, scrambled eggs, sausage, juice, coffee. Also New Mexico green chilie, and pinto beans. The bedding in new, high quality cotton. The room and bathroom is clean. While Santa Fe is windy and sometimes dysty/sandy the lobby and rooms could use a through vacuum and dusting...especially under beds, along the carpet/wall edges in each room, the plexiglass displays in the lobby holding baskets and blankets.

The first room they gave me had an overpowering smell of urine. And they acted surprised when I went and asked for a different room. The decor felt dated and carpets looked unclean.

The check in was a terrible experience! The nasty 20 year old punk at the check in was the type of person you would never put in position to be with public. I’m 73 and asked him if I could get a room closer to the entrance and instead he put me in the farthest room from the elevator on the third floor. Then he said “there’s an elevator’! Then he said he didn’t like my attitude. If I hadn’t prepaid I would never have stayed there. It’s in the middle of nowhere anyway. Would advise to find something else. The bathroom has a tiny stall shower. No tub. Bad experience overall. The parking lot was empty when I checked in so they could have easily accommodated my simple request. So much for customer service or respect for your elders.
