Unique. Very clean. 2025 was rough. This place was unique. Simple. Very clean which is a lot easier to do when the decor is minimalist. Electric Fireplace functional and cozy. Heatboard on the wall was new to me. Bath was beautiful. Towels plush pristine. Mgr. helped me get in during the horrendous rain via com. Jazz music in the lounge. Coffee machine that makes lattes, cappucinos...A bit retro (70s my teen/college) in ambiance. Repurposed bits from other hotels which made it homey and ecofriendly. The place has character. Great location. Parked on street. It was late. I never met anyone, only by voice because the weather was fierce. I would have liked a little fridge. I loved staying there.

I don’t often review hotels, but when you can’t stop thinking about how COMFY a bed and pillows were - it’s a sign you must! We enjoyed our stay, it’s very clean and nice, and sooo comfortable!! The only downside is that parking is not free, and it’s not even part of the property. Other than that, it was great! And the lobby coffee machine was amazing!

Great stay

I booked a room for one night the same day. I found a great deal on Hotels.com. Check-in was easy, the front desk was so kind, and the room was ready early. The room itself was spacious, very clean, and the bed was so comfortable. After a week of traveling in other budget hotels, I appreciated the good sleep. The hotel was quiet and had a small courtyard area set back from the street. Parking was included in a lot a few steps away from the building, with free coffee and a kitchen to be used off the main lobby. Centrally located between the boardwalk and downtown. I will definitely stay here again for the value and price point. Thank you!

We chose this hotel because it's a 5 min walk to the Catalyst Club in Santa Cruz. We had tickets to a concert there. It was very convention. The Chinese restaurant right across the street was very good. We had breakfast back behind at the Firefly Coffee House which was very good. The room was perfect for our one night stay. Very clean and quiet. Parking was a little tricky so I would suggest checking in during hours if you can. But it was very nice to park in their little lot and then just walk everywhere. We would stay again.
