We checked in at 9:30pm yesterday and was told there was no parking spot in the hotel garage and we have to find the parking on street. This is the first time we came to Santa Cruz and we’re not familiar with the area at all. It took us 30 minimum to find a parking spot about 10 minutes away from the hotel and the parking spot was only valid for free parking till 8:00am. So we had to get up early in the morning to move our car. It was a terrible experience. We spent over $500 a night and we have to find a parking space by ourselves on the street in a strange city. We have travelled a lot and had never such a bad experience especially it was night and we were exhausted after driving a long way.

Great property for going to the boardwalk and ward. Close walking distance and feel safe. The rooms were clean and nice. The lobby was awesome with a bar and had booths with TVs. The ev chargers are not free and cost a lot.

Bed bugs found in Room 225 on September 20, 2025. Originally given room 225 and while doing a routine scan for bed bugs, I found 2 in the seams of the fabric headboard. Both were recently engorged and large, seemingly having been there for a long time. Told the front desk about it and they moved us to a different room on a different floor, but nothing else was done for the inconvenience. They could only place us on the 1st floor, leaving us exposed to ground level traffic. The curtain wouldn't shut properly so passerbys could peek in easily. We had to pin together the curtains to get enough privacy. When asked to contact a manager, the manager refused, citing being "too overwhelmed." They refused to come out to speak with us even though they had just helped another customer that was right in front of us. They kept promising that the general manager would call before the end of our stay, but they never did. Disappointing because this is an expensive hotel that shouldn't have these types of problems. And if so, they should at least address something as severe as bed bugs early. Who knows if there are any in other rooms. Again, the 2 bed bugs were found easily meaning they've been feeding and in the room for a long time. Unfortunately management doesn't seem concerned enough to fix the problem.
