The property was nice for what you pay for. Staff was nice and helpful the only thing that I didn't like is that there is nothing around interms of what to do. When we stayed there was power outage and thus Solvang was closed and so was half of the town. I was a tad bit afraid cus the hotel room locks from the outside so when I would turn the knob the door would open so I was always unsure if the door was securely closed.

Not worth it

If there is no option then stay at this motel else look for better one. Very old place for the price over $100. We paid $170 for a old moldy motel definitely not worth it.

Convenient, Clean & Affordable

Highly convenient location. Comfortable bed, everything you need in a room, including refrigerator-freezer, AC, cable TV and wi fi. Not fancy by any means. Next to no bathroom amenities and the towels were on the small side and well washed. For the price we were pleased. I appreciate the convenience of driving up to the door and that all rooms were on the street level.

I enjoyed the two nights I spent there

Quiet, clean and comfortable. Friendly front office people. The air conditioning and mini fridge were a nice touch. San Marcos Motel was exactly what I needed.
