Friendly and welcoming staff. Lobby smelled so good because a fresh batch of chocolate cookies was almost ready! Breakfast had variety of options, we had eggs , bacon , sausage, potatoes, toast and cinnamon flavored waffles. Coffee and juice too. Room was perfect and included a microwave.

Everything was good including breakfast and complimentary coffee in lobby available foe whole day. However I was charged $55 for late checkout which 50% of the room rate at that time which is a bit unreasonable as many folks do checkin late so foe courtesy they should not charged that much.

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable.The room has the expected amenities: tv, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. The provided breakfast was quite adequate. The location to the freeway is excellent and pleasantly quiet. The best was the greeting upon arrival at 5pm by Sara who was most kind and helpful after all day on the road.

First the staff, they were not so friendly. We really didn’t feel welcomed. I guess it’s expected from an area where there's a high tourist traffic which is disappointing. Second is the room, we got 2 rooms which were assigned right next to each other which was convenient. The first room had a musty smell inside which probably is because of the heavy rain they had a few days before and the second room clearly had wet carpet floors so it definitely had that

My recent stay at the Quality Inn Buellton Solvang, unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. To start with, the beds were quite uncomfortable, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep. The pillows didn't help either; they were far from what I would consider comfortable and left me with a sore neck by morning. Adding to the disappointment, the front desk staff was unfriendly and seemed uninterested in addressing guests' concerns. This lack of hospitality was surprising and left a negative impression on my overall stay. Regrettably, I can't say I'd recommend this location given the discomfort and lack of welcoming service. Hopefully, improvements will be made in the future.

As we opened out room we were hit with the smell and heat of a swamp. The thermostat had been set to 86, the carpet was wet, and there was black stuff on the floor. Also, the pillows were these small squares that successfully gave me neck problems. Additionally, there were thumping noises all night from people stomping around :( Next morning, I heard our neighboring guest complain of the same exact problems.

Room condition was atrocious. Our initial room reeked of coffee. Apparently, there was a flood (not your fault…nature happens), but the hotel's solution was to pour coffee grounds all over the room floors and leave the damp carpets in. The staff was very accommodating and moved us to a different room. (The front desk staff was awesome and professional). On the second day, housekeeping decided that they did not want to do their job and did not clean our room. When I asked the front desk staff, they looked at the housekeeping report saying that our room said do not disturb. This is housekeeping lying, as we double checked that there was no dnd sign on our room when we left early in the morning. The awesome front desk staff did attempt to remedy the situation, but we were so fed up that we asked if they would refund our last night if we just left early. The (awesome) staff agreed to that and refunded me the last night. We ended up leaving early and getting another hotel in Valencia. The 2 amazing things at this hotel are the great front desk staff and the high-quality breakfast. However, housekeeping and maintenance and both badly mismanaged.
