The lobby and location were nice. Rooms and property need an update. The floors are thin and it sound as if a heard of elephants were staying in the room above us. Plan on 33% more than the room charge inf “fees and taxes”

Staff were great. Location is spot on. Rooms are small, but to be expected from a property that originally opened in 1931. We requested a balcony room and, unfortunately, ended up by the regularly utilized ice machine and above a party venue. I sang along to the first couple hours of music (sound deadening was clearly NOT a thing in the 30’s), then put my headphones in for the last 2-hours. They shut it down at 10pm promptly, but if you’re looking for an early turn in, I suggest you verify where your room is located at check-in. We were in bldg 1 on the 2nd floor above Cafe Lido. We had breakfast at Costa Kitchen and enjoyed some delicious lemon ricotta pancakes, avocado toast, and a farmers breakfast, all of which is delicious. Being directly across the street from the beach doesn’t suck either.

Relaxing and great view of beach!

Love the view and access to beach. Patio was so comfortable delinking a glass of wine at sunset, and coffee in the morning. Room very roomy and comfortable. We will be back!! Staff very friendly and helpful!

This is an older property. Overall nice facility and friendly staff but the plumbing noise woke us up throughout the night and we had to change rooms. New room was better, but still heard the plumbing and the elevator. The Lido bar ha really good food and Kiran the bartender was the best. Staff at Costa (especially Danny) were great.

I would like to say that the staff and maids were fantastic. I’ll make it simple and to the point. We were there for 2 nights. As soon as we got into our room there was a smell of must, a wet sitting smell. I could not pinpoint it but perhaps the filters on the mini split system need to be cleaned. We did suffer some allergies while there. The mini split unit was very loud and has a sound like running water while it’s on. The fan does not adjust much or if at all. The next thing was I spent about 30 minutes trying to kill mosquitoes that were all over the room. I swatted them till they were all gone. My wife received 2 bites during our stay. The toilet occasionally does not flush all the way unless you hold the handle down manually. There was no screen on our patio door as there was one on the neighboring room but not the other. I reserved this room because it has a patio, and we had no choice but to keep the door closed due to the chance of allowing more mosquitos in. I paid extra to have the ocean view and be able to have the ocean breeze come in and this was not possible. Our first night our dinner was over an hour late and the French Fries were soggy. We did not eat most of the dinner due that fact. Every meal ordered after that was fantastic. You advertise no room delivery due to protection of the privacy of the guests . How ever in my opinion there is not much privacy. The exit doors were open all night. You can hear all neighbors above you.

Location is amazing and we had lovely huge patio areas looking at the beach. We spent the evening in their courtyard with a fire pit and drank wine and chilled. Some ordered a few items from the restaurant and it was delicious. The coffee at the cafe was really good too!
