La Martina by Escape Home

Country cottage located in a private agricultural setting of approximately 3 hectares. With an internal road providing access to the entire property. It consists of a single storey to accommodate 4 people, ideal for a couple with children. Located in Pou Nou on the outskirts of Sant Lluís. It is 10 minutes' drive from the beaches of the south coast such as Binibeca, Punta Prima. La Martina features a spacious Menorcan-style porch to enjoy long summer evenings with a beautiful brick-built barbecue, large garden surrounded by flowers and plants with pleasant natural lawn, where children can play.

Inside we find a lounge-dining room with American bar-style kitchen fully equipped with electric oven, ceramic hob, TV and WiFi, capsule coffee maker, kettle, toaster and dishwasher (lounge with air conditioning).

It consists of 1 double bedroom with double bed and 2 single bedrooms. All with air conditioning. The three bedrooms share a bathroom with bathtub and 2 sinks.

Its pleasant and welcoming porch features comfortable sofas and armchairs. Large solarium with sun loungers, outdoor shower, laundry room with independent washing machine.

You will receive periodic visits from the owner who grows tomatoes, peppers, aubergines and also looks after his animals such as chickens and geese on a farm near the property.

For groups formed by guests aged between 18 and 26 years, a refundable deposit of €150 per person is required.

During local holiday periods, the Pentecost Festival and for stays between 15 and 30 June, the refundable deposit will be €300 per person.

The amount will be refunded after check-out, once the property inspection has been carried out, provided that no damage has occurred and the house rules have been respected.

good location, secluded, but not too isolated. friendly owner, everything you need for a break is there. great pool, too. only thing that could be better is the size of the double bed... apart from that: all great!

Really lovely villa that we overall enjoyed very much! It would have been good to know in advance that there would be someone on the property every day, though. Even though he mostly kept to himself and didn't bother us, it would have been good to know that our stay wouldn't be completely private, as we had hoped. We were warned in advance about the gardeners (who came on one afternoon during our stay), but not the other person (whose role we were never entirely clear on--security? Maintenance? Groundskeeper?). The pool was great, though, and overall the property was gorgeous and peaceful. The location was also really nice--an easy 15 minute walk to San Lluis' shops, restaurants etc., with a real tranquility and sense of being away from it all (and being away from the tourist/ resort crowds, too) and a sense of actually seeing Menorca, rather than just the touristy bits.

The place is great, a perfect hideaway in the country a short drive from St.Luis. Excellently equipped, great a/c, perfect gardens. If I’m going to nitpick then I’d say the showerhead needs replacing and the pool needs a clean more often due to the abundance of surrounding trees, but honestly, I have stayed in more expensive villas at this end of the island that had far more pressing and annoying faults than that. I always think the telling response is to the question ‘would you stay here again’ and my answer is that yes, I absolutely would.
