Charming cottage in the countryside of Castelluzzo, surrounded by olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation, located within an ancient Sicilian baglio and adjoining other properties. Here, life moves at a slower pace: there is no traffic, no loud music reaches you, and the only sound you hear in the morning is the birdsong.
The cottage comfortably accommodates 4–5 guests and consists of one double bedroom, a small bedroom with two single beds (which can be converted into a double bed), and an open loft overlooking the living room with a double bed. There are two bathrooms with showers.
The living room is furnished with a sofa and dining table and has access to a convenient kitchenette.
The outdoor area is the perfect place to enjoy your holiday and relax: lie on the sun loungers by the pool, or take shelter from the sun on the comfortable sofas in the relaxation area while enjoying a refreshing drink. From the panoramic terrace of the relaxation area, you can admire enchanting sunsets over the sea.
The swimming pool (1.50 m deep and open from May to November) is surrounded by a large, fully fenced garden with a green lawn, olive trees, fruit trees and typical Sicilian plants that add colour and freshness to the surroundings.
The equipped veranda allows you to prepare and cook meals using the outdoor kitchen or BBQ, and then enjoy them comfortably outdoors.

The surrounding area
Along the coast, approximately 2 km from the house, begins one of the most beautiful nature trails on the western coast of Sicily. From the Gulf of Monte Cofano to the cliffs of Cala Mancina, the coastline offers wonderful alternatives to the famous beach of San Vito Lo Capo, which can become very crowded during the peak summer season.
You will find beautiful pebble coves with crystal-clear waters, as well as the lovely sandy bay of Santa Margherita, where sun loungers and umbrellas can be rented and a small bar is available.
From June to September, access to the beach area by car is closed to traffic. The beaches can instead be reached by the fun and free Ercolino tourist train, which connects the two free car parks with the beaches. The train makes several stops, allowing you to explore the entire coastline and its numerous sandy and pebble coves.
Continuing towards San Vito Lo Capo, near the hamlet of Makari, the coastline becomes spectacular once again. The beach of Isulidda and Cala del Bue Marino — voted the best beach in Italy in 2015 — will captivate you with their turquoise waters and spectacular sunsets, when the horizon turns beautiful shades of red.
Snorkelling enthusiasts will enjoy the beautiful seabed, rich in marine life. The area is also very popular with climbing enthusiasts, who will find a wide variety of climbing sectors throughout the San Vito area.
Just 10 km away, the beach of San Vito Lo Capo is undoubtedly breathtakingly beautiful. However, during your stay you will also discover many other hidden and truly unique places, such as the Zingaro Nature Reserve, the Monte Cofano Nature Reserve, the ancient village of Erice, the Segesta Archaeological Park, the salt pans of Trapani, the city of Trapani, the island of Mozia (Mothia) and the wineries of Marsala.
And why not explore the magnificent Egadi Islands — Levanzo, Favignana and Marettimo?
A holiday in San Vito Lo Capo means beaches, sea and water sports, art, history and culture, excellent food and plenty of relaxation. Come and discover it for yourself — we look forward to welcoming you!
Electricity consumption
The actual electricity consumption during your stay is not included in the rental price and must be paid at check-out (€0.50/kWh consumed).
Following experiences with some guests who were not particularly careful with their use of electricity, we decided to exclude electricity consumption from the rental price. This encourages guests to use energy more responsibly and, in particular, to avoid leaving appliances running all day while they are at the beach, especially the air conditioning.
With this approach, a family typically spends approximately €50–€75 per week on additional electricity. This amount may vary depending on individual use of the appliances provided, such as the washing machine, dishwasher and air conditioning, as well as general water and energy consumption.
Our planet is currently suffering from the intensive exploitation of water and energy resources by human beings. With a little care and attention, we can all contribute to protecting these precious resources for the future of our children.
Optional: heating is available and charged according to actual consumption.
