We did not check into the room until 830 pm when we got in the room mosquitoes was in there did not get much sleep at all we spoke to management the next day and her explanation was they have a lot mosquitoes in the area totally get that but they should have not been in the room

My stay at the Tropical Palace Hotel could not have been better. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The common areas were always picked up, smelling fresh and clean. Our linens and laundry as well. They made my brother and I feel like family and we feel like we have a home in Belize now. Thank you so much to the hard working staff that made our stay so memorable.

Overall, cute place to stay. You can hear the foot traffic throughout the halls/floors. Voices carry. The window coverings to the balcony door stood out from window and sun came through. The bed was cozy, no TV channels (only apps). Less than 5 min walk to the San Pedro Belize express water taxi. Pool pic on Expedia didn’t look the same as in person.

This was our second stay at Tropical Palace and we really enjoyed it again. Free airport pickup, friendly staff and owners, and a very convenient location made our stay easy and comfortable. The hotel is just a few minutes south of the airport and close to many restaurants. The room was clean and included two towels, two washcloths, soap, and shampoo. We recommend bringing your own toiletries for added convenience. The beach is literally just one minute away.

The rooms and grounds were spotless. The staff was super helpful and accommodating. They even helped us extend our trip to New Year's. It's definitely a little Tropical paradise. Beds are comfy. The AC is cold. Wifi works well. Super close to the beach. Not too close to town. But not too far either. They also rent golf carts and have a nice restaurant on property. Cannot wait to return. Thanks Mohamed!

The room smelled like mildew. And when I asked the staff if I can change rooms, they said that I didn’t come in the morning when they thought I was gonna come. So once I got back to the room in the evening, they didn’t have any more rooms for me to change to. And then I went back to my room and came back to the desk to ask for some air freshener cause she didn’t even offer me any.

For me, hotels are for changing clothes and sleeping, but I do expect some basics. I've never left less than four stars for a hotel review and the only reason I gave it three stars was due to the excellent receptionists and other staff that worked with me. Cons: In a nutshell, this was not a 4 1/2 star hotel. At best, it's a two. I stayed in two different rooms for my two night stay. They were both equipped with a full and twin bed. No Queen. The internet coverage came in and out in both rooms and 4-star amenities such as an iron, a microwave, cofee pot and even facial tissue were all missing. The hot water for the sinks in both rooms was turned off. The first room I stayed in was dusty with cobwebs and the room I stayed in on my second night had plumbing issues and the toilet erupted spilling water on the floor, several times. The sink was also not bolted to the wall correctly and shifted at the slightest touch. Pros: The staff was wonderful and friendly and it was a quick walk to the beach and the sea taxi port. There are restaurants galore nearby, and you can really explore a good portion of San Pedro on foot, or rent a golf cart and go to Secret Beach and beyond. My time in San Pedro was great, but my hotel did not live up to even my lowest expectations.

I had such a lovely stay at Tropical Palace Hotel in Belize! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel so welcome and cared for. Everyone was incredibly kind and genuinely accommodating, always ready with a smile and willing to help with anything I needed. A special shout-out to Marlyni, the morning receptionist, who truly made my stay unforgettable. Her warmth, professionalism, and friendly energy brightened every morning. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt at home, and I’m so grateful for her. Thank you to all the staff for creating such a comfortable, safe, and pleasant experience. Tropical Palace Hotel has a wonderful team, and it really shows. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Belize!

This was easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room itself was not terrible in layout, but it seemed like it had not been occupied or cleaned in years. Dust covered the furniture and surfaces, and the bedding and towels were stained and in desperate need of replacement. To make matters worse, no regular cleaning services were offered during my stay. I arrived on a Sunday night to loud music that played until 1 a.m., only to be awakened the next morning by construction noise starting around 8 a.m. Loud sawing, hammering, and general chaos continued nonstop until 5 p.m. every single day. It quickly became clear that the hotel is undergoing major renovations, making it feel like I was staying on a construction site. The worst part of my stay, however, was the dirty water. For the entire week, the water from both the tap and the toilet was yellow and smelled awful. I ended up showering and brushing my teeth elsewhere and used the hotel only for sleeping. Perhaps most disappointing of all, none of these issues were communicated by the front desk. The staff seemed oblivious or indifferent to the fact that guests were being subjected to construction noise, poor hygiene, and contaminated water. I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel until all renovations are complete and the basic standards of cleanliness, comfort, and honesty are restored.
