I did not stay at the hotel. Due to a health situation, I was unable to travel and contacted the hotel to ask if a family member could use the two nights in my place, or if I could receive a credit for future use. Their only response was to contact the agency through which I made the reservation. The agency, in turn, told me to contact the hotel. I had a different reservation at a nearby hotel, and they had no issue issuing a credit under my name since I couldn’t make it. Alma Azul, however, has horrible customer service. I did not stay at Alma Azul not by choice, but given this experience with such a poor customer service and lack of care of guest, I would never try again to stay there. Outrageous.

Everything was fine. Clean room, nice and friendly staff, delicious food. Breakfast variety changed every day, but always eggs. Only a variety of fresh fruits and juices we've been missing. Nice cocktails and free water. Short walk to the spacious beach Playa las flores which is good for swimming. From the balcony you can watch a lot of birds.We would like to come back again.

Staff was very friendly. Room was very clean. Was able to get a good nights sleep.. except for the birds tapping in the windows early morning lol. Breakfast included was good as well. Overall the stay was awesome! Very close to the center of El Cuco. Will definitely come back.

Waking up and seeing toucans in the trees on the property. The stillness of the air that allows all the sounds of nature, primarily birds, to enter your senses. Just a hop, skip and a jump to Playa Las Flores as well. Just a note.... during low tide you can easily walk to El Cucu Beach as well. Great stay.
