We needed to book a hotel close to the airport in a pinch. We ended up landing a suite which was a little dated but served the purpose. It was clean. The pool was fantastic and the service was great! Constant sound of airplanes taking off bc the airport is right behind the hotel, but didn’t bother us. Not sure we’d stay again unless we have to but it was fine for a short overnight stay!

The hotel is located near almost everything. The front desk staff ( mei ling, especially) could afford to be friendlier and more helpful. We had questions about some local activities, but they were not too accommodating with helping us find out info on the activities. (they were not busy at the time when we asked). The rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. The pool area was clean however there were so many children in the hot tub it could have been mistaken as a kiddie pool. No enforcement was present. The breakfast was amazing. The staff during the breakfast were so helpful and kind. We utilized the laundry room and found it to be useful. One machine was out of service, but we only needed one anyway. Great cheeseburgers from the pool grill! Vanessa, our server did an awesome job.

One of the unique aspects of this property is its welcoming and laid-back vibe, making it feel more like a resort than a typical hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall positive experience. What I didn’t like: While the hotel is in a fantastic location, some areas felt a bit dated, and the walls were a little thin, so noise from the hallways could be noticeable at times. The pool area, while great, can get a bit crowded during peak hours. Overall, this is a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay near the beach. I would definitely return!

If only the front desk people will be like Jose, Joel and Carlos, it will be perfect. Everybody from the Cana De Azucar are very helpful and friendly. The only person that is very pleasant is Denise. Both Valerie and Viktoria are not supposed to be working in the front desk as they never seems to like what they are doing. Not smiling nor looking approachable. This hotel can get get a perfect score but didn’t happen because of this 2 CS. Food are great and the free breakfast was amazing.

A few minutes from SJU airport (so some plane noise), and also close to port for those joining / returning from cruises. Resort fee of $40 per night is a bind …but at least they have “free” hot drinks available all day, and happy hour for free (poolside) drinks 5pm each evening.

It’s not walkable to the airport like the site made it seem. It’s not a beachfront property; you have to walk a ways to the beach. The hot tub is not hot and the jets don’t work. Otherwise this is a great hotel. I just think that the site is a little misleading. The poolside bar offers free drinks 5:30-7:30pm this is definitely a nice added bonus.
